It has been several weeks since our last health update! We are moving forward on our health journey and getting closer to our goal weight each week.
The past five weeks have been busy. We celebrated two birthdays, I went to my 30th high school reunion and we celebrated Thanksgiving with my family. We even reached some milestones this past month.
1st Milestone
In week 19, I made it to Onderland. For those who are not familiar with the term onderland, it means I now weigh less than 200lbs. I’m officially in the one hundred zone. I may be at the very top of it and risk easily going over 200, but the joy of reaching this milestone is indescribable. I have been overweight for so long, I can’t remember when I weighed less than 200lbs.
2nd Milestone
Week 20, Andrew officially lost 100lbs. He started losing weight back in January before we started on our current weight loss plan.
3rd Milestone
Week 20, I officially lost 50lbs since starting on my weight loss journey!!!
Clothes Donation
Our clothes are too baggy on us, so we decided to pack them all up and donate them to a charity instead of wearing them out in public. We filled up six large trash bags. Our closet is bare now. I only have a few t-shirts that I bought at Walmart and two pairs of jeans to tide me over. We plan to go shopping for some more clothes in a few weeks. So in the meantime, if you see me wearing the same four shirts I have over and over again, now you know why!
Here are our stats for the past few weeks. As you will see, we had some weeks where we lost a lot of weight and some we gained some weight and some that we didn’t lose much. Those weeks were tough as we are doing everything possible to make sure we stay on track. So just stay focused, don’t worry about the numbers. They are moving in a downward motion, and THAT is all that MATTERS!!!
Week 18
Andrew lost .2 lbs and I lost .8lbs.
Week 19
Andrew lost 4.8lbs and I lost 3.6lbs. It was also time to do our monthly measurements. Andrew lost 6.5 inches this month bringing his total inches lost to 34in. I lost 3 inches for my grand total of 32.5 inches lost.
Week 20
Andrew lost 2.6lbs and I lost 2lbs
Week 21
Andrew gained 2lbs and I gained .2lbs. — Not a good week for us at all!
Week 22 (Thanksgiving Week)
Andrew lost 1.8lbs and I lost 2lbs. ( I can’t express how happy this makes me!!! >check out our Thanksgiving Post )
Grand Total Weight Loss
Andrew has lost a total of 100lbs and I have lost 51.9lbs!!!!
Thanks for following our journey. Sharing our story to the world is not easy and posting our pictures is WAY out of our comfort zone. We realize the struggle is real for many and we wanted to document what we are doing for two reasons.
One, to help hold us accountable! We are at the beginning of our journey and we know that we have a long road ahead of us.
Two, we want to encourage others to help take their health back! It’s never too late! The hardest part about starting this journey is just saying YES to a healthier YOU!!
