Do You Need A Miracle?

Healing Scriptures

Do you need a miracle? I don’t know about you, but I need a miracle.
But before I share what I need, I just want to talk a moment about God’s Word. There is something about, that when God speaks, there is power in His words.

When I think about how he created the whole universe and the earth that we live on, by speaking it into existence, I stand amazed at the power that are in his words.

Here we read:

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.  God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
Genesis 1:3

And God continued to speak creation into existence for the remaining 6 days.
He didn’t just think it, He spoke it and it happened.

God’s words were so powerful that everything we see came forth out of nothing other than man where he made us from the ground.

I look at nature all around me and I am in awe by the beauty I see. Knowing that our creator spoke and it was.  That the very ground I walk on is here because God spoke it.  Sometimes, I just can’t wrap my mind around it all. There’s no denying that there is power in God’s word.

What is even more spectacular in my eyes, that God loves us so much that he gave us his word in written form, the Bible.   The very powerful words of our Heavenly Father are available to us in written form every single day.

Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things.  For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
2 Peter 1:20-21

When we read God’s word, the Bible, we are holding His power!

Do you need a miracle right now?

You may just need God to move right now in your life in a BIG Way.

If you’re like me, you know God is willing and able to do great things in your life.  Sometimes, God’s timing is not exactly in sync with our timing. In those waiting days, it’s easy to grow weary in waiting for that miracle, and it’s easy for our faith to grow weak if we are not careful.

Satan wants us to give up, lose hope, and doubt that God will do what he said he would do in his word. I don’t know about you, but I have to do whatever it takes to continually build up my faith!

I need a miracle!

Ok, so I started this all off that I needed a miracle.  I need to be healed.

2020 has been a rough year for me.  It seems that I’ve been going through some type of health issue one after another.  Now, none of these have been life threatening, but just going through it back to back has definitely been tough on me physically and spiritually.

At the end of January 2021, I looked back at 2020 and I was so down on myself that I hardly achieved anything.  All I could think about was how I was in major back pain for weeks, followed by some unknown respiratory illness that lasted several weeks, then to injuring my arm to where I can’t lift it up, and now my other arm starting to hurt.  To top it all off, in January 2021 I got Covid.

After reviewing all this, I started to have a little pity party!

My wonderful husband was quick to point out that I had accomplished a lot last year despite all that I was going through.  We led two lifegroups at church and kept all our commitments to our volunteer positions throughout the year, among all the daily duties of life.

Looking back, God did heal me of my back pain and from my unknown respiratory illness and I also recovered from Covid.  (Very thankful that I had a mild case.)  So, right now,  I’m believing God for my arm to be healed.

I’m thankful for my husband to give me a quick reality check. All I could think about was all my health issues, but in spite of what I was going through, God was still using us, using me, to help minister to others.
Alright, my pity party is over.

What am I doing now?

I’ve been prayed over many times for my arm. I’m not giving up on those prayers that were prayed! God heard them and I know my healing is on the way. One thing that I’m going to do is to dig into God’s word.  I’m going to search for scriptures that talk about God’s promises and His faithfulness and also about scriptures on healing.

Why Scriptures?

I haven’t been able to lift my arm for over 6 months, and I’ve been doing everything I can do to help get my arm back moving. Right now I need God to do this miracle. Having to deal with this arm for over 6 months, well, let’s be honest, discouragement can easily creep in if I’m not careful.

So, I’m choosing God’s word to help build up my faith.

We build up our faith when we read God’s word.

Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
Romans 10:17

The Bible is full of scriptures that I can grab hold of and use to help build up my faith. Narrowing the list down to a handful is my challenge. My goal is to make them part of my morning quiet time. Read them often and remind me of what God’s word says daily.

Just as God has healed my many infirmities that I’ve had in the past year, I know I will be writing again of God healing my arm!

IN CONCLUSION – REMEMBER THIS!!
